Well established in North Yorkshire and on the East Coast, the Coachman Inn at Snainton (midway between Pickering & Scarborough) enjoys an enviable reputation as a destination restaurant and bar with rooms. The new proprietors Claire Taylor-Chambers and her family have injected a new lease of life into this charming Georgian Inn

This important, historic and imposing Grade II listed building, built in 1776 stands just on the outskirts of the village of Snainton and was the last Staging Post before Scarborough for the York Mail Coaches in year's gone bye.

Today, this charming and impressive 18th century former Coaching Inn is still a useful pit stop for travellers, offering customers from near and far a very warm welcome...

Whether you're calling in for a drink, simply visiting to have a bite to eat in our traditional Bar, dine in our elegant Restaurant, or have booked into one of our very comfortable bedrooms... you'll feel very much at home.  Our aim is to keep things simple, friendly and your visit memorable.
